Luxurious indulgences at the expense of consumers. It has been revealed that throughout the year, the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) engaged in the rental of luxury and ultra-expensive cars worth hundreds of millions of Armenian drams, provided by a company affiliated with the ENA management.
Specifically, ENA rented high-end Range Rovers, Toyotas, and other luxury cars for its top executives—expenses that cost the company hundreds of millions of drams. These costs were ultimately covered by the consumers of ENA. Naturally, the owners of ENA did everything possible to ensure there was no government representative within the company who might access and uncover these documents.
According to our sources, ENA’s temporary administrator Romanos Petrosyan promptly terminated the contract with the affiliated company, which had stipulated the rental of expensive and ultra-expensive cars worth 134 million drams for a one-year period—again, to be paid by the consumers
